Travis Brodeen

Travis Brodeen oversees the technical direction of the brand as CTO for STAR POWER. He has a background specializing in eCommerce startups and technical security consulting efforts with more than one hundred Fortune 500 companies.

Jessica Pendleton Caraway

"I am thrilled to be designing for a well-known brand with such a rich history like STAR POWER!"

Jess Pendleton Caraway is a 23-year-old designer who recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She is the artist behind STAR POWER’s recent makeover, as well as the new STAR POWER Monthly magazine. Jess lives in central Austin with her husband Brett and their two dogs, Liloo and Mishka. Her pet peeve is tardiness, and her favorite thing in the whole world is pizza night with Brett.

Joel Cowen

"I can’t wait to see how many people we can help and empower to do great things."

Joel Cowen is a 23 year-old, recent graduate from Texas State University with a degree in sound recording. He is part of the Member Services team and is responsible for providing world-class customer service to all STAR POWER members. He enjoys creating and producing music of all genres, and also playing the drums.

Ioulia Crow

"That which we focus on grows, and I am excited to contribute to the growth of the STAR POWER brand. I cannot wait to meet the Stars!"

Ioulia Crow is an enthusiastic 27 year-old member services associate. She was born in Siberia, attended high school in London, and recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. She claims to be the only country music fan from Russia.

Chris Dock

"I’m inspired by STAR POWER’s focus on helping professionals succeed. It’s an honor to be a part of this team."

Chris Dock is a human resources representative and graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. Originally from Philadelphia, he moved to Austin, Texas, in June of 2009. Chris is extremely excited to be involved with such a talented team of individuals, and STAR POWER’s aim to help others realize success in their personal and professional lives.

Jordan Hammond

"I am excited to contribute to STAR POWER and continue the path of opportunities for all those involved."

Jordan Hammond is 28 years-old and grew up in North Carolina, where she attended North Carolina State University and first entered the real estate industry. She now works in event support and logistics, and is excited about everything that STAR POWER has to offer. She lives in Austin with her little Yorkie, Laney, and enjoys traveling, deep-sea fishing and real estate.

Amy Hood

"I look forward to working with the STAR POWER organization, and helping members grow and prosper."

After graduating from Southern Nazarene University in 2004, Amy married her high school sweetheart and graduated with a Masters in Accounting from Baylor University in 2005. She worked for two national audit firms before joining the Distressed Property Institute as the accounting manager in May 2009.

Michelle Hughes

"STAR POWER has a proven success rate with helping agents. I am privileged to be partnered with such an exciting icon in the real estate industry!"

Michelle Hughes has been working in the real estate coaching realm with top producers throughout North America over the last three years, and considers it an honor to work with STAR POWER. The opportunity the company provides to help agents around the country is relevant to today’s market, yet brings to the table the integrity and status of a long standing legacy. Michelle also enjoys spending time with family and her Chiweenie puppy "Razor," traveling, and working with the local food banks to bring relief to those struggling within the community.

Bryan Maxwell

"I have seen where STAR POWER came from, and now I see where it can go. I’m proud to be on the team that’s going to make it happen."

Bryan Maxwell is a 21 year-old software developer from Austin, Texas, honing his software and web development skill set through late nights and sleepless weekends. He had very little time for formal academics with a wall of books to read and code to debug. Aside from being an open source advocate and self-proclaimed caffeine enthusiast, he spends his nights programming, reading, making electronic music with Ableton Live, spending time with his girlfriend Katie, and playing with his newly adopted Boxer puppy Sarge.

Adam Pedowitz

"My association with STAR POWER is a career milestone. It's an honor to help continue the legacy founded more than 20 years ago."

Adam Pedowitz manages the communications team responsible for content surrounding the STAR POWER brand. He also serves as editor of STAR POWER Monthly magazine. Adam began his career in public relations with the GCI Group (now Cohn & Wolfe) in New York City, before moving into an internal communications role for Honeywell International. A graduate of Lehigh University and the MFA program at Texas State University, Adam lives with his wife Angela in Austin, Texas. He spends his free time absorbed in the works of his favorite authors: Barry Hannah, Denis Johnson, Tim O'Brien and Kurt Vonnegut.

Celeste Roberts

"I am excited for the new opportunity to work with STAR POWER members, and help them with anything they need."

Celeste Roberts has been working with Alex Charfen since 2008, when she moved to Austin from Salt Lake City. She is the Member Services Manager responsible for providing excellent service to STAR POWER members, and has the second-longest tenure of a rapidly growing team. She enjoys yoga, kittens, and spending time with friends and family.

Laura Scullin

"I’m excited to be a part of something that I believe in. STAR POWER is an amazing opportunity to help entrepreneurs reach new levels of success and a perfect fit for our company!"

Laura Scullin is a 23-year-old member of the communications team and contributes content to the STAR POWER Website, STAR POWER Monthly magazine and STAR POWER presentations and promotions. Laura is a part of this young, intelligent and energetic team dedicated to enhancing the lives of thousands, and to the genuine care of the individuals who make it possible. She loves working with her dedicated team, playing with her boxador Sydney, listening to live music and reading Tom Robbins.

Ryan Scullin

"I can't wait to implement new ideasfor the technological advancement of STAR POWER."

Ryan Scullin is a 26 year-old Texas Tech graduate who studied abroad at universities in Germany and England. He is one of the team members devoted to Technical Support for STAR POWER members. He is also responsible for the creative aspects of the STAR POWER Podcast. He loves soccer, surfing and traveling. Please feel free to give him a call when you want to talk about the STAR POWER site in German!

Scott Standley

"I am here to provide accurate, helpful information to every STAR POWER member."

Scott Standley graduated with a rhetoric and writing degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Communications Department who strives to provide an unprecedented level of service. Scott hopes to learn and grow during his time working with the esteemed STAR POWER program. In his spare time, Scott is an avid musician who loves the blues.

Randall Sullivan

"Coming from the real estate industry, I am ecstatic to have the privilege to work under a brand name that has been associated with greatness for decades."

Randall Sullivan has an accounting and finance degree from Texas A&M University. Through the years, he has worked at various privately held companies and even started his own custom furniture business. In 2007, he shut down the furniture business and joined a real estate training company in Dallas, Texas, as CEO. After two years, the opportunity came to work for Distressed Property Institute in an operations role. He continues in his operational role with DPI and is excited to use his skills in working with the STAR POWER brand.

Jason Sweet

Jason Sweet is a newly-minted Product Manager responsible for technical documentation for STAR POWER. Originally from California, he and his family love living in Austin and he is a rabid fan of international soccer.

Brad Ullery

"I look forward to providing technology solutions that enable STAR POWER to shine!"

As Lead Software Developer, Brad Ullery is responsible for the development of software that assists members in being their best. Brad previously managed the Systems Integration team for the number one IT-GRC firm in the country, and has over 12 years of experience in full-life cycle software development. Brad lives in Austin with his wife and three young children.

Eder Weber

"I am looking forward to using my skills and passion for technology to the benefit of STAR POWER!"

Eder Weber is a 25-year-old software engineer that honed his programming skills in the halls of the computer science department at Texas State University. He is deeply involved in the design and development of innovative software and web applications for the real estate industry using the latest technology. He is originally from Mexico, and when not at his computer he is very active in church ministry, which earned him the nickname 'El Ministro'.

Matt Woodard

"I look forward to the opportunity to work with STAR POWE, and create a cutting-edge website that will lead the real estate industry in usability and innovation."

Matthew Woodard is from San Diego, California, but currently lives in Austin with his wife, Kimberly, and three sons Jeremiah (7), Junior (5) and Jacob (4). Matt is a self-made and self-taught web designer and developer. He learned by doing, as well as a lot of late night reading and studying.

Jules Wurzel

Jules Wurzel is a recent graduate of Texas State University and is now the executive assistant to Alex Charfen. She lives with her fiancé in Austin and will be getting married in January. She enjoys working hard and being part of this amazing team.
